Hi Doug,

I just read your last "View from a Distance."

As always - very correct.

I remember some time ago that I proposed stopping by sometime for a visit in Alma.

I will be driving "up north" on Tuesday, 9/24.

Any chance I could stop by on my way home at around 4:00 or 4:30. Just to say hi.

Best, Mark

Not sure what to do for Kamala beyond Illinois, except keep writing checks -- assuming we will stay very Blue.

Doug, thanks for your challenge. The Convention was inspiring, but as many of th speakers stated, we all will have to work. Let's get to work!! Jim Elsass

It's my experience that people raise demands, tallk to their neighbors and co-workers are often the same people. Certainly people who organize their constituency most often and most sustainably do so around a set of demands and issues rather than a particular candidate. It seems odd to me to oppose raising demands as somehow opposite to tallking to people.

This message is soooo important! It is so easy to complain & attack — and perhaps too much fun.

The lesson from the frack sand mining is a wonderful eamlple.
